My paid service credentials work on my phone but fail on my Android TV box. Here is how I diagnosed and fixed it.

This is a common issue. The first thing to check is whether your subscription allows multiple simultaneous connections.

Most plans include 1 connection. If you are logged in on your phone you may be blocking the TV box.

Your confirmation email usually states the connection count, or contact your provider support.

The app may also be caching old credentials. Clear app data in Android settings and re-enter.

Some providers use MAC address binding. Your TV box has a different MAC than your phone.

Contact your provider to whitelist the new MAC address if they use MAC binding.

Settings → Network → Advanced → MAC Address, or similar depending on your box firmware.

Another cause: the app version on the TV box may be outdated and incompatible with the server API.

Force update the app through the Play Store or sideload the latest APK from the developer.

XCIPTV had this exact issue last year after a server API update. Updating the app resolved it.

If the app is current and credentials are confirmed correct, the issue may be a provider server error.

I opened a support ticket with my provider and they reset my account — resolved in 30 minutes.
