Subscription paid but activation not received — what to do

Starting this thread to share my experience and hear from others in the community. Happy to discuss in detail.
 
Paid for a subscription, got a payment confirmation email, but no activation details. It's been 6 hours.
 
Some providers have manual activation that takes time. Check your spam folder first.
 
Spam folder is always the first check. Activation emails land there very frequently.
 
If you registered on a website, log in and check your account dashboard for activation status.
 
The spam folder saves the day again. This happens with almost every new service.
 
If you genuinely don't receive it after 24 hours, contact support with your payment receipt number.
 
The payment receipt is your proof. Always keep it until the service is fully activated.
 
I had one case where activation took 48 hours due to a weekend. Some providers don't work weekends.
 
That's frustrating but it happens with smaller providers. Ask about support hours before buying.
 
Larger providers with 24/7 automated activation are more reliable for immediate access.
 
Good point. Automated activation vs manual activation is a meaningful difference.
