iPad app login not saving after update — iOS troubleshooting

Which update version? iOS 16.4 specifically had a keychain issue.

iOS 16.4. And yes the login disappeared after the update.

Go to Settings > [App] > clear the app's local storage permission first.

My fix was deleting and reinstalling the app completely after the iOS update.

Reinstall worked but I lost my in-app settings too.

Save your in-app settings manually first before reinstalling.

The app should offer export/backup of settings. Not all do sadly.

Mine fixed itself with the 16.4.1 patch Apple released shortly after.

After patch update my login came back automatically. Impressive.

Apple's patch notes almost never mention these app-specific issues. You have to discover them.
