Community thread specifically for Smart TV users with BlueLine IPTV. Share your TV brand, model year, app used, and experience.

UK — Samsung 2022 QLED, Smart IPTV app, MAC address activation. Setup took about 20 minutes including the activation wait. Very stable since. Picture quality on the QLED panel with high-quality streams is excellent.

Samsung + Smart IPTV is one of the most reliable combinations for native Smart TV IPTV. What year is your model?

Ireland — LG OLED C2, Smart IPTV on webOS. The OLED display with HDR streams is genuinely stunning. Setup was identical to Samsung — MAC activation, then M3U upload on the Smart IPTV website.

Canada — Sony Bravia Android TV (2020 model). Installed TiviMate directly from a USB drive with sideloading enabled. Full TiviMate experience on a Sony TV — best of both worlds.

Sony Android TV with TiviMate is excellent. You get the full TiviMate feature set on a native TV without needing an external box.

Australia — Hisense with Android TV. Installed IPTV Smarters Pro directly from Google Play on the TV. No sideloading needed. Works well.

Hisense Android TV models have good app compatibility. Google Play makes installing IPTV apps much simpler than the Samsung or LG ecosystems.

New Zealand — Philips Android TV. Used XCIPTV installed via Google Play. Excellent performance, native interface.

XCIPTV on Android TV is one of the best native Smart TV experiences. The interface scales well to large screens.

USA — older Samsung (2018 Tizen) works with Smart IPTV but the older firmware version means some features are limited. MAC activation still works fine though.

Older Tizen models have limitations but Smart IPTV supports them with the basic M3U functionality. Not as feature-rich as newer models but functional.

UK — GSE Smart IPTV is available on the Samsung app store. An alternative to Smart IPTV with a somewhat different interface. Both work well.

GSE Smart IPTV on Samsung is worth trying if you want to compare interfaces. Slightly better EPG view in my opinion.

Ireland — LG webOS 6 model (2021). Smart IPTV works well. Also tried SS IPTV which is available in the LG Content Store. SS IPTV is more basic but works as a backup option.

Canada — Sony Bravia Google TV (2023). Slightly more complex sideloading process than Android TV models but doable. Enable dev mode in settings, install XCIPTV via Downloader through an APK.

Google TV sideloading requires dev mode but is not difficult once you know the steps. Worth doing for the full TiviMate or XCIPTV experience.

Australia — for anyone with a Smart TV thinking about whether to add an external box: if your TV runs Android TV or supports Google Play, you probably do not need one. If it is Samsung Tizen or LG webOS, an external Android box gives much more flexibility.
