Looking for the best IPTV app for my iPhone 14 and iPad Pro. I see a lot of options on the App Store: GSE Smart IPTV, IPTV Smarters Pro, IBO Player, Flix IPTV. Which is the best for daily use and which has the best EPG?

Having tested all four on current iOS devices:\n\n**GSE Smart IPTV**: The most feature-complete iOS IPTV app. Excellent EPG grid view, reliable performance, M3U and Xtream compatible, supports external players. Best overall for daily use in my experience.\n\n**IPTV Smarters Pro**: Good interface, reliable, cross-platform if you also use Android. EPG is decent but the grid view is less refined than GSE. Very popular across both platforms.\n\n**IBO Player**: Excellent on Apple TV specifically (see below). iOS version is functional. Cleaner interface than Smarters but fewer settings to customise.\n\n**Flix IPTV**: The most polished interface of the four. Designed specifically for Apple ecosystem. Best on Apple TV but also works well on iPhone and iPad.

For the iPad Pro specifically, I recommend Flix IPTV. The interface scales beautifully to the large iPad screen and the navigation is very natural with the tablet in landscape mode. The grid layout is well-designed for a large touchscreen.

UK user — GSE Smart IPTV on iPhone is my daily driver for mobile viewing. The multi-screen layout (switching between EPG and channel list) is well designed for phone use. It also supports background audio which is useful for listening to radio stations while using other apps.

One thing to know about all iOS IPTV apps: Apple's App Store guidelines mean these apps cannot play DRM-encrypted streams or streams that Apple deems non-compliant. Most IPTV streams are fine, but occasional apps get removed from the store and need reinstalling. Keep an eye on update notes and App Store availability.

IPTV Smarters on iOS has recently improved significantly. The latest versions are much more stable than they were two years ago. If you have tried it before and had issues, worth retrying on the current version.

Ireland — IBO Player on iPad is underrated. The interface is simple and clean. If you find GSE or Smarters overwhelming with their settings, IBO Player is a great alternative with a lower learning curve. EPG is basic but reliable.

For catch-up specifically on iOS: GSE Smart IPTV has the best catch-up implementation of the iOS apps currently. The catch-up browser in GSE is intuitive and reliable. TiviMate-level catch-up is iOS's Achilles heel generally, but GSE does a reasonable job.

One practical tip: on iPad with an external keyboard, GSE Smart IPTV supports keyboard shortcuts for channel navigation. Channel up/down, EPG open/close, and volume control all have keyboard shortcuts. Very convenient for desk or table use with a Bluetooth keyboard.
