Audio completely drops for a second every few minutes

Then it could be a HDMI audio handshake issue between the device and your TV.

HDMI handshake dropout is real. Try a different HDMI port on your TV.

Different HDMI port! Sounds strange but fixed the audio dropout immediately.

HDMI ports on TVs are not all equal. Some are ARC, some are better quality.

Also try reducing audio output to PCM instead of Dolby/DTS. Less handshake complexity.

PCM audio setting fixed the dropouts on my Apple TV. Dolby was causing the issue.
