Amazon released the Fire TV Stick 4K Max in October 2021. Here is what the IPTV community found.

The 4K Max launched October 7, 2021 at $54.99 — a significant step up from the standard 4K Stick.

Key specs: Mediatek MT8696T quad-core, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi 6 support. First Fire Stick with Wi-Fi 6.

Channel switching was noticeably faster. TiviMate EPG browsing was smooth where the old stick lagged.

The 2GB RAM (up from 1.5GB) made a measurable difference for apps with large EPG data sets.

Wi-Fi 6 on the 4K Max improved stability in congested wireless environments considerably.

Same as all Fire TV devices: enable unknown sources in developer options, install Downloader, load APKs.

TiviMate Premium APK via Downloader was my first install. Ran excellently from day one.

Yes — HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision all supported. Comprehensive HDR coverage.

For paid IPTV services offering HDR streams, the 4K Max handles decoding well without dropped frames.

At $55 this is hard to beat as an entry IPTV device for the majority of users.

I recommended it to several friends in late 2021. All still using it daily with no complaints.
