Have an LG OLED and want to know which IPTV app is best for webOS. I see mentions of Smart IPTV, SS IPTV, and GSE Smart IPTV. Has anyone compared these on LG specifically? Which is the most stable and feature-complete?

Having used all three on an LG C2 OLED, here is my comparison:\n\n**Smart IPTV**: Most reliable for stability. MAC address activation is a bit old-fashioned but once set up it is rock solid. Good channel loading speed. EPG is functional but not as rich as TiviMate.\n\n**SS IPTV**: Available in the LG Content Store without any activation fee. Interface is dated but it works. Good for backup use. Stability is decent but not as consistent as Smart IPTV in my experience.\n\n**GSE Smart IPTV**: More modern interface, better EPG display. Available via the LG store. Slightly more setup complexity but better day-to-day usability once configured.

Smart IPTV is my daily driver on LG. The stability and channel-switching speed are the best of the three. SS IPTV is a good free backup option. GSE is worth considering if you want a better-looking EPG without moving to an external device.

UK user — I prefer GSE Smart IPTV on my LG C3 specifically because of the 7-day EPG grid view. Smart IPTV's EPG is a simpler banner view. For people who plan ahead what to watch, the full grid EPG in GSE is much better.

One thing to note: Smart IPTV on LG webOS behaves slightly differently from Samsung. The activation is the same MAC-based system on siptv.eu but the webOS version has its own quirks. Make sure you are using the webOS-specific M3U upload option on the siptv.eu website, not the general one.

The Quick Start issue on LG is well known in IPTV communities. Always disable Quick Start (or Instant On) on LG TVs when using IPTV apps. It causes network disruption that manifests as intermittent disconnects on long viewing sessions.

For LG webOS users who want the richest IPTV experience: the best approach is to use an Android TV box (like a Mecool or Xiaomi Mi Box) connected via HDMI with TiviMate. The native webOS apps are convenient but limited. External Android TV box unlocks TiviMate's full feature set on your LG screen.

New Zealand — using SS IPTV as a backup on my LG. It loads faster than Smart IPTV after a TV restart and is useful when Smart IPTV has one of its occasional slow-start issues. Keeping both installed is good practice.
