4K streaming first experiences — 2015

First time seeing 4K stream in 2015 was genuinely impressive.

Netflix 4K launched in 2014 but 4K TVs were still expensive.

4K required a very specific Netflix plan AND a 4K TV AND 25Mbps+ reliable speed.

25Mbps for 4K in 2015 was a high bar. Most home connections weren't there.

Now 4K is standard. What seemed premium in 2015 is expected now.

Progress has been incredible. 4K streaming on a $30 stick is normal now.
