I have been using IPTV Smarters Pro since I started but keep hearing that TiviMate and XCIPTV are better options. Can someone give me an honest comparison? I use a Firestick 4K Max and want the best overall experience.

I have used all three extensively. Here is the honest comparison:\n\n**TiviMate** is the best for live TV with EPG. The 7-day grid EPG, catch-up integration, and channel management are unmatched. Buffer settings are granular and effective. Requires sideloading on Firestick (not on Amazon store). Premium features require a TiviMate Companion subscription.\n\n**XCIPTV** is the fastest for channel switching. The interface is modern, Firestick-friendly, and available via APK sideload or through Firestick alternative stores. Excellent 4K HDR playback. Less feature-complete than TiviMate for EPG management but significantly better than Smarters.\n\n**IPTV Smarters Pro**: easiest to get (available in Amazon store), functional, but the EPG is limited, catch-up is basic, and the interface feels dated compared to TiviMate.

For Firestick 4K Max specifically, XCIPTV 4 is my recommendation for daily use. The channel switching speed is noticeably better than TiviMate and the app handles the Firestick remote very naturally. TiviMate is worth having as a secondary option for its better EPG.

UK user — switched from Smarters to TiviMate two years ago and the EPG alone was worth it. Being able to see the full week schedule and browse what is on at 9pm tomorrow on 20 channels simultaneously changes how you watch TV. Smarters EPG is a basic list view by comparison.

XCIPTV 4's big advantage over TiviMate is in 4K HDR rendering. It handles certain high-bitrate H.265 streams better. If you watch a lot of 4K content, XCIPTV may deliver noticeably smoother playback on the same hardware.

Ireland — I use both. TiviMate for evening TV watching where I want the EPG, XCIPTV for sport where I switch channels quickly between different games. Different tools for different use cases, and both can use the same subscription simultaneously (assuming your subscription allows two streams).

TiviMate wins catch-up easily. The catch-up integration in TiviMate is the best in class — it shows catch-up availability directly in the EPG, lets you browse past content like a real TV guide, and the catch-up playback is reliable. XCIPTV has basic catch-up functionality but it is nowhere near as integrated.

Canada — tried both on Nvidia Shield Pro. TiviMate for regular watching, XCIPTV as backup. Both work well. If you can only choose one for a Firestick 4K Max: start with XCIPTV for the simplicity, then add TiviMate when you want to explore the more advanced EPG features.

Final note: both apps receive regular updates. XCIPTV 4 was a significant improvement over 3. TiviMate is updated regularly with bug fixes. Neither is standing still, which is important for a long-term daily-use app.
