LG webOS has its own app ecosystem. Here is which IPTV apps work and how to set them up.
 
LG webOS has fewer IPTV app options than Samsung Tizen, but Smart IPTV also supports webOS.
 
Very similar. Install Smart IPTV from the LG Content Store, activate via MAC address on their website.
 
The main difference is finding the MAC address: Settings → General → Network → Wi-Fi Connection → Advanced.

XCIPTVwebOS is not a thing — LG TV apps are limited. IPTV Smarters does not have a webOS version.
 
For LG TVs older than 2019, Smart IPTV may not be available or may have limited functionality.
 
SS IPTV supports playlists but the interface is quite dated. I use it as a backup option.
 
I use an Nvidia Shield connected to my LG C2 OLED. Best of both worlds for picture quality and apps.
 
LG OLED with Shield input is an excellent combination. The OLED handles the display, Shield handles apps.
 
Power users who want TiviMate, EPG archives, or VOD will want an external Android device.
