Spain. TiviMate on an Android TV box. Spanish EPG loaded correctly — timing was accurate for Spanish broadcasts. Catch-up was available on the main Spanish channels. Very good.

UK — tested specifically on BT broadband which can be tricky. No issues on my connection after changing DNS settings on the router.

Canada — update timing tip: update in the afternoon, not late at night. If the update causes any issue you need to troubleshoot, you want to have several hours of active time available. Updating at 11pm and discovering the portal URL cleared means your evening watching is done.

For Firestick 4K Max specifically, XCIPTV 4 is my recommendation for daily use. The channel switching speed is noticeably better than TiviMate and the app handles the Firestick remote very naturally. TiviMate is worth having as a secondary option for its better EPG.

Adding to that list: choose the right device in the first place. Older hardware (first and second generation Firesticks, budget £20 Android boxes) will struggle with high-bitrate 4K streams no matter how good your connection is. If your device is more than 4–5 years old, it may be the limiting...

USA — XCIPTV works excellently on Fire TV. I prefer it over IPTV Smarters for channel switching speed. Both work but XCIPTV is noticeably faster.

That level of consistent responsiveness across different query types is what you want to see from a service you are paying for.
